Murmur
A late-hours listening bar in Shibuya, conceived as an editorial publication that happens to serve drinks. Each visit is a "side." Each track in the program is annotated like a liner note.
We design, build, and finish the work before the meeting begins. The deliverable is the pitch.
We study a brand the way a critic studies a body of work. What it says it is, what it actually is, and the distance between the two.
We build the version that should exist. Not a deck about the version that should exist — the thing itself, on a real URL, in 72 hours.
We arrive with a laptop. We open the link. We don't speak for the first thirty seconds.
The mockup becomes a finished site. Photography, copy, deployment, training. The account is in the client's name from day one. Then we leave.
The world has enough presentations.
It has enough discovery calls.
It has enough retainers
that produce nothing
anyone can hold.
We make the thing. We finish the thing. Then we hand the thing over and walk back to the studio.
The following are studio commissions — brand worlds developed independently to demonstrate range. None are accepting work. All are available on request as case-study briefs.

A boutique architecture firm working in the prairies. Brand built around the field condition: precise lines, vast white space, cardinal-direction wayfinding, the architecture revealed only by what surrounds it.
A natural-wine importer with a French-poetry sensibility. Each label hand-illustrated. Every cuvée named for an animal that drinks at dawn. Print-first identity, web second.
An independent watchmaker producing twelve pieces a year. The brand built as a horological journal — each piece annotated with the maker's notes, the time of year of finishing, and the previous owner if applicable.
A single page, finished and live. Built first, shown second. The fastest way to see what we mean.

10 — 14 weeks · Two slates per quarter
Engagements are illustrative · Each commission is shaped to fit
We accept a small number of commissions each quarter. If your work is the kind that deserves more than what's currently representing it, please write.
